ABOUT THE ARTIST
ANASTASIA KNISH
With over two decades of watercolor experience, Anastasia has created heartfelt home portraits for clients across Chicagoland, throughout the U.S., and even as far as Mexico. While many of her commissions come from real estate agents seeking meaningful closing gifts, her work has also become treasured keepsakes for friends, family, colleagues, and others in search of something truly personal. The compliment she hears most often? “Your painting made them cry.”
Anastasia’s love for art began in childhood. At just seven, she sat down with her father to copy a watercolor landscape from a reading book. His version was small and exact; hers, a bold, expressive wash of color. Both are still proudly displayed in her home studio today. Inspired early on by Michelangelo—and continuously by the beauty of nature—Anastasia remains a lifelong learner, always seeking to refine her technique. While watercolor is her first love, she embraces other mediums with the same creative passion.
